EM BUSCA DE JUDITH

Until the age of 32, Jéssica Barbosa believed that Judith Alves Macedo, her paternal grandmother, had died in a car accident. The story that had been told to her since childhood took a turn when the actress came across a photograph in a book and heard a familiar story, which triggered her search for Judith's real story. The black woman, mother of five, had been compulsorily admitted to a psychiatric hospital, where she remained until her death in 1958. It is about the searches and discoveries of this story, permeated by the silencing of female voices and issues that cross the asylum system that it deals with. “LOOKING FOR JUDITH”, a show created by Jéssica and Pedro Sá Moraes, who also signs the direction.
