The purpose of FCD – SÃO PAULO CONTEMPORARY DANCE FESTIVAL is to promote a diversified program of works with their own unique languages in contemporary dance, bringing together artists who question forms of representation and propose other perceptions and ways of looking at the world. FCD is a space for approximation, a way to share possibilities, exercise dialogue and stimulate the viewer in their critical and creative abilities.

In increasingly adverse times for art and for all the diversity of life, the festival brings to the city of São Paulo works that present urgent practices of resistance and reinvention. FCD has always understood dance as an art that invents worlds, modulating with each gesture, each speech, bodies expanded by perceptual possibilities.

The Contemporary Dance Festival program is the result of an independent and collaborative curatorship. With artistic direction by choreographer Adriana Grechi, general direction by cultural projects manager Amaury Cacciacarro Filho and production direction by Corpo Rastreado and FCD.
