Jussara Belchior is a fat dancer. In her solo work Peso Bruto (2017) investigates the taboos and prejudices about fat women. PhD candidate at PPGT - UDESC with the research Heavy Investigations. She works as a director, assistant director, interlocutor and critic in partnership with other artists. She was part of the cast of Grupo Cena 11 Cia de Dança between 2007 and the beginning of 2018. She is interested in poetics and politics of movement and positioning through dance.
