TURN DANCE
Giradança is a contemporary dance company formed by dancers with and without disabilities whose artistic proposal is to expand the universe of dance through its own language, focused on the concept of the body as a tool for experiences. The company, based in Natal/RN in 2005, was founded by the dancers Anderson Leão and Roberto Morais. It had its national debut at the Mostra Arte, Diversidade e Inclusão Sócio-cultural, held in Rio de Janeiro, in May 2005, and, since then, it has presented, on stages all over Brazil, a work that breaks prejudices, pre-established limits and creates new possibilities within contemporary dance. With more than a decade of work, she has accumulated several awards in her more than 13 repertory shows, where she has performed in more than 15 Brazilian states and 5 countries. In 2020, in commemoration of her 15 years of work, she will perform a revival of her repertoire and will reincarnate both shows in Natal, São Paulo, Mossoró and Caicó, besides holding her program of contemporary dance classes in the last mentioned cities and, in partnership with Corpo Rastreado, the premiere of a new show expected to take place in August in São Paulo.
