MARINA ESTEVES

Marina Esteves is an actress, director and dancer. She is co-founder of the O Bonde collective. She graduated from ELT - Escola Livre de Teatro de Santo André. She researches black theater and the intersections of gender and race on stage. Her recent works include “Magnólia”, her solo work in which she directs and acts, nominated for the Shell Award 2024 in the music category, “Bom dia, eternidade” directed by Luiz Fernando Marques Lubi, “Desfazenda - Me enterrem fora desse lugar” (APCA Award 2021 for best virtual play and nominated for the Shell Award for dramaturgy in 2023) directed by Roberta Estrela d'Alva and “Gota d'água Preta” (APCA Award 2019 for best direction and nominated for the Shell Award in the innovation category). He was part of the cast of “A Divina Farsa” by Cia La Mínima, directed by Sandra Corveloni. She is responsible for the conception and direction of “Zebra without a name”, for which she was nominated for best children's play by the APCA in 2023.  She is currently guest director of the shows “Pará - rio de memórias” by Lenise Oliveira, which will premiere at Sesc Consolação in 2025, the show “Descubra um jeito de me encontrar no futuro - uma conversa entre Zumbi e Besouro” co-directed with Oda Silva, and “Adulto” by Fran Ferraretto.
