NÚCLEO ABRE CAMINHOS

Abre Caminhos is a research group in black theatricality, dedicated to scenic, musical and dramaturgical research. Made up of Adriana Miranda, Cynthia Regina, Piu Guedes and Ulisses Dias, it was born out of the meeting of members during the Dramaturgy course at the Escola Livre de Teatro de Santo André, taught by playwright Dione Carlos. Instigated by materials on black theater and the importance of building counter narratives, we formed the nucleus to be our collective research project where we can build other imaginaries and new perspectives for the future of our LGBTQIAP+ bodies. In 2020, Núcleo was awarded the 14th Zé Renato Prize and produced the show "Kuami: Caminhos para a Identidade" (Kuami: Paths to Identity), directed by Martinha Soares and directed by Valquíria Rosa.
