PIETÁ
Formed by the meeting between Rio de Janeiro artists Frederico Demarca and Rafael Lorga and Juliana Linhares, from Natal, the band mixes theatricality studies to the creation of music and shows, in a research of sound that combines tradition and contemporary. Passing through different rhythms and themes, the basically authorial repertoire reveals the trio's commitment to exalt the production of new Brazilian music and to make it accessible to a greater number of people. From 2011 to now, Pietá has played the main stages of Rio de Janeiro, besides having performed shows in the states of São Paulo, Bahia, Ceará, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraná and Santa Catarina.
In 2015 he released his first album Leve o que quiser (Take what you want), with guest appearances by Chico César, Carlos Malta, Claudio Nucci and Beto Lemos. The work received many compliments and gained followers all over Brazil. In 2017, Pietá released the single "Com os pés no futuro" with participation from the singer Ilessi. In 2018, the singles "Virará" and "Jabaculê", which are part of the band's second album, with musical production by Jr Tostoi. The band won the 2014 Webfestvalda, at Circo Voador, taking the "Best Band" and "Best Vocalist" awards, and the 2019 Sesi Firjan New Talent Marathon, with the "Best Song" award for the song Mar de Sonhos, which came accompanied by a music video directed by Elisa Mendes. The trio's second album, Santo Sossego, produced by Jr Tostoi, was released in May 2019 and is available on all streaming platforms.
